The East Turkistan Government in Exile (ETGE) strongly condemns the growing alliance between Pakistan and China under the false pretense of “counter-terrorism” cooperation. This dangerous partnership, which includes joint “security cooperation,” military exercises, and police training in occupied East Turkistan, is a blatant attempt to institutionalize state-sponsored terrorism and further entrench China’s campaign of genocide against the Uyghur and Turkic peoples.
Since 2001, China has used the facade of “counter-terrorism” to wage genocide and crimes against humanity in East Turkistan. Under the false pretext of “counter-terrorism,” the Chinese government has carried out mass internment, large-scale massacres, forced labor, religious repression, and the destruction of cultural heritage, all in direct violation of international human rights laws. Millions of innocent Uyghur Muslims and other Turkic peoples have been subjected to unimaginable atrocities that have been rightly condemned by global human rights organizations and recognized as genocide and crimes against humanity.
Pakistan’s participation in this partnership is a shameless act of treachery, as it has chosen to align itself with China in oppressing millions of East Turkistani Muslims, despite its claims of supporting Muslim solidarity and human rights. By actively cooperating with the imperialistic, genocidal Chinese regime, Pakistan is complicit in China’s campaign of colonization, genocide, and occupation in East Turkistan, directly contributing to the suffering of its Muslim co-religionists. This glaring hypocrisy cannot be overlooked—Pakistan presents itself as a defender of Muslim causes globally, yet collaborates with the very regime responsible for the worst persecution of Muslims in human history.
This alliance between China and Pakistan is not about fighting terrorism; it is about weaponizing state terror to crush dissent and advance their authoritarian rule. Both nations have a long track record of using terrorism as a political tool and proxy, and their collaboration poses an immediate and grave threat to global security and regional stability. The international community cannot afford to stand by while this dangerous partnership grows unchecked.
“Pakistan has not only betrayed the Uyghurs and other East Turkistani Muslims but has become a willing accomplice in China’s genocide,” said Salih Hudayar, ETGE Minister for Foreign Affairs and Security. “The international community must take action now to stop this unholy alliance of terror before it spreads more destruction and suffering.”
The East Turkistan Government in Exile calls on all freedom-loving nations and international bodies to take immediate and decisive action against this dangerous alliance of oppression. We urge the United Nations, the European Union, and democratic governments around the world to impose targeted sanctions on individuals and entities complicit in China’s genocide and Pakistan’s betrayal of their Muslim brethren. Furthermore, we demand that the international community support East Turkistan’s pursuit of justice by urging the International Criminal Court to investigate and prosecute Chinese officials for genocide and crimes against humanity in occupied East Turkistan.
The global community cannot stand idle while China and Pakistan continue to export state-sponsored terrorism under the false pretext of “security cooperation.” This partnership threatens not only the people of East Turkistan but the very foundation of international stability, peace, and the rule of law. The world must act swiftly and resolutely to safeguard the dignity, freedom, and inalienable rights of the East Turkistani people.
The East Turkistan Government in Exile remains unwavering in its commitment to the restoration of justice, freedom, and the sovereign independence of East Turkistan. We call on the global community to stand with us in resisting this immoral and destabilizing alliance and to support the righteous cause of East Turkistan’s liberation.
