The NIC enables access to ETGE services and democratic processes while reinforcing national identity and belonging.
Who Can Apply?
The National Identity Card (NIC) is available to:
- Individuals of East Turkistani Descent: This includes individuals from ethnic groups that are historically native to East Turkistan, such as:
- Uyghurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Uzbeks, and other Turkic peoples who trace their ancestry to East Turkistan rather than in countries like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, or elsewhere.
- Individuals born in East Turkistan or direct descendants (children or grandchildren) of those born in East Turkistan.
- Members of the East Turkistani exile communities (diaspora) or refugees who maintain cultural, linguistic, or historical ties to East Turkistan.
- Children of East Turkistani Citizens: Individuals born to East Turkistani parents, regardless of where they were born.
- East Turkistani Refugees: Individuals displaced from East Turkistan due to persecution or political repression, and now living in exile.

How to Apply
Follow these simple steps to apply for your East Turkistan National Identity Card:
1. Complete the Application Form:
Fill out the National Identity Card Application Form below with accurate information. Make sure all required fields are completed. Don’t forget to upload a valid government-issued ID (passport, national ID, etc.) a recent (taken within 6 months) passport-style photograph (JPEG/PNG format, max size 5MB).
2. Processing Fees: Please make a payment of $25.00 (USD) for the application processing fee. You can also make an optional annual voluntary donation ($150 for adults and $50 for those under 18 in North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia; $50 for adults and $10 for those under 18 in Central Asia, Middle East, Asia-Pacific and other regions).
3. Processing Time:
Upon receipt of the required processing fee, your application will be processed within 6-8 weeks.
